First prize in the ``Giovanarte`` competition VII edition
The Giovanarte Prize, created with the aim of discovering and valorising new artistic talents and spreading the ultra-contemporary artistic trends of the new generations, this year renewed its seventh edition with the curatorship of Chiara Canali, art critic and independent curator , originally from Piacenza and active throughout the national territory as a talent scout and creator and promoter of high-profile curatorial artistic events, such as the well-known PARMA 360 FESTIVAL of contemporary creativity.
The finalists’ exhibition brought together the expressive poetics of nineteen artists under 35, born in the nineties (between 1989 and 1999) who ranged from forms more linked to tradition, such as oil painting, graphite drawing, typographical engraving , embroidery, ceramics, micro fusion, photography, video, to reach ultra-contemporary techniques such as digital animation, 3D printing, creative coding, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
The Award, seventh edition, conceived by the “Amici dell’arte di Piacenza” association and sponsored by the Municipality of Piacenza, the Province of Piacenza and the Emilia-Romagna Regione, was made possible thanks to the contribution of the Piacenza and Vigevano Foundation and the Bank of Piacenza.
