In the last months of 2023 I have had the honor of working as a visual artist for the creation of the scenes from the opera Norma by Vincenzo Bellini and Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi, directed by M°Riccardo Muti @maestromuti , for the @ravennafestival Autumn Trilogy which was staged from 16 to 23 December 2023 at the Alighieri Theater in Ravenna.
The visual programmer Davide Broccoli and the light designer Eva Bruno worked with me on the staging. On stage together with M° Muti there was the Cherubini orchestra, choir of the Municipal Theater of Piacenza and important singers of international opera.

The Programs and the semi-stage performances

The two operas were performed in semi-stage form. A way of making theater and music in a way never seen before. For the staging of Norma, my artistic vision was followed, adapting my poetics to the music of Vincezo Bellini, therefore the use of classical statues and sculptural elements within environments rich in nature and vegetation. For Nabucco the staging focused on the representation of Assyrian – Babylonian and Jewish places and symbols.

The works were performed in two performances, all sold out. The audience and critics appreciated the performance and staging of the two works as can be seen from the long applause at the theater and the reviews in the various newspapers.
